We’re Hiring: Building Superintendent & Facilities Manager

 

Live-In Position | Private 1-Bedroom Apartment Included

Under One Roof / The Marvin in Norwalk is seeking a dependable, skilled, solutions-oriented professional to oversee operations of our unique senior housing and preschool campus.

This is more than a maintenance role. It is an opportunity for someone who takes pride in running a building well, solving problems early, managing vendors professionally, and helping residents feel safe, respected, and at home.

 

Compensation includes:

• $62,000 annual salary

• Private on-site one-bedroom apartment included

Ideal candidates may come from backgrounds such as:

• Building Superintendent

• Facilities Manager

• HVAC Lead Technician

• Property Operations

• Trades Professional ready for a leadership role

 

Core responsibilities include:

• Oversight of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevator, generator, and building systems

• Preventive maintenance and repairs

• Vendor and contractor management

• Work order tracking and digital systems management

• Grounds and seasonal readiness

• Emergency response when needed

• Capital planning support and cost-conscious operations

Basic work schedule is 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 5 days per week, including Saturdays and Sundays. (Two days off during the week.) Exact hours may vary based on building and emergency needs. The Building Superintendent is expected to carry a phone 24 hours per day and is expected to respond to emergencies as needed.
