Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized and motivated person to join our team to sell product and represent our brand at farmers markets, popups and demos for our bakery.

As the face of our bakery at farmers markets, you will play a crucial role in representing our brand, engaging with customers, and ensuring a seamless market experience. This position requires someone who is not only passionate about healthy eating, but also possesses excellent organizational skills and is great with sales and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick up product from our bakery in Norwalk and set up our market stand, popup or demo at the designated date and time.
  • Set up and dismantle the bakery's tent and display.
  • Maintain a visually appealing and inviting booth that showcases our products effectively, according to company standard layout.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, educating them about our bakery, ingredients, and what makes our products special.
  • Drive sales through effective product presentation, sampling, and promotions.
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and processing credit card payments on Square.
  • Keep inventory well-stocked and organized, monitoring product levels and communicating with the bakery team for restocking, when needed.
  • Represent the brand professionally and positively, embodying our values of quality, health, and sustainability.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the management team based on customer interactions and market sales trends.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer service and sales.
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with setting up and breaking down the market booth.
  • Access to a car that you can use for transporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to commit to scheduled farmers market hours, and work Saturdays.
  • Passion for healthy living preferred.
