We're seeking a dedicated Baker to join a high-vibe team of hard working women and contribute to our continued success.

Job Description: As a Bakery Associate, you will assist with the production of our premium gluten-free and vegan baked goods. Under the guidance of our head baker, you'll follow recipes and procedures to create a variety of baked goods, including muffins, cookies and quick breads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Baking: Prepare and bake a diverse range of gluten-free and vegan products, including muffins, cookies, and quick breads, following established recipes and production schedules.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients with precision according to bakery specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product quality throughout production, promptly addressing any issues related to taste, texture, or appearance to maintain our high standards.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a sanitary and organized workspace, adhering strictly to food safety standards to uphold a safe baking environment. (Hair nets and gloves are a must at our bakery!)
  • Equipment Operation: Operate baking equipment such as the 60 Qt. Hobart Mixer and convection ovens, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing ingredient inventory, notifying management of restocking needs to support seamless production.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with bakery and packaging team members to ensure efficient production and timely order fulfillment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute ideas and suggestions for process enhancements to foster the bakery's growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in bakery or food production, with a solid grasp of scratch baking techniques and recipe adherence.
  • Skills: Ability to read and precisely follow written recipes accurately, with attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
  • Attributes: Organized, punctual, and responsive in a fast-paced production environment. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Communication: Clear and concise communication skills, essential for effective collaboration with team members of diverse backgrounds.

Availability: Ability to work early mornings (starting at 7am).
